On Monday, Dakota Fanning showed us exactly how to style inky-black staples for the warmer months. The actor stepped out in New York City’s 80-degree weather looking ever so breezy in a black linen one-shoulder maxi dress—a piece so effortlessly chic that we immediately began searching the web for look-alikes.

Fanning paired the airy dress with black leather Mary Jane ballet flats, a woven black leather Kalimero Cha-Cha bag by Bottega Veneta, and square black shades with bright red lenses. She wore minimal makeup and had her blonde hair styled in a straight blowout.

Fanning has been on a style streak while promoting her horror-mystery film The Watchers, which is about a young artist who “gets stranded in an extensive, immaculate forest in western Ireland, where, after finding shelter, she becomes trapped alongside three strangers, stalked by mysterious creatures each night,” per IMDb.

Also on Monday, she was seen walking around SoHo in a white dress cinched with two tiny belts and covered in a blueish-purple floral print. She styled it simply with metallic silver strappy heels and diamond jewelry.
